I love this product.

We used to have one of these, but we decided to try something new. Over the past few years we've tried about 5 different brands and styles. It not only works better that the others, it works while the others don't. Get the Egg and be happy.

I have some backyard chickens so get lots of fresh eggs. Maybe it's because they're fresh, I've often had trouble peeling my fresh hard boiled eggs vs store-bought eggs that I boiled in water following the usual instructions, including the cold water dunk. Other reviewers with fresh eggs commented that they no longer have peeling problems. I've now used this thing 4 times and the peels almost fall off. Love this thing! As for the omelet function, I haven't tried it because I like somewhat complicated omelets. The poacher works with some experimentation regarding water level. However, I'm not fond of triangular poached eggs due to the provided tray. So this is just a hard boil egg appliance to me which is fine. Clean up is pretty easy but it's also easy for the leftover water in the domed lid to end up on your counter top so prepare accordingly. To reiterate the directions, the TOP OF THE EGG to pierce is NOT THE POINTY END. Eggs are sold with the pointy end down in the carton because the air bubble in the membrane is in the fat end and you want it to stay there. If you store it the other end up, the air pocket can migrate and allow a break in the membrane in the process. Bacteria can enter this way.Added on 8/29/2019: AND the lid makes a great colander for washing fruit like grapes, blueberries, strawberries, etc, swishing them around in the water while holding your palm over the bottom holes and then removing your hand to let the water drain.

So I have been reading about these egg cookers and after researching the reviews I chose the Cuisinart. Very well made and a breeze to use. We have used it about a dozen times and it has worked flawlessly. We get the water from our filtered refrigerator so it is not distilled. After every use I put about 3 tbs of white vinegar in the bottom and let set for about half hour or whenever and it cleans up like new.

I have to say I love eggs. This is the ultimate egg cooker. The only thing it doesn't seem to do is scrambled eggs. So far, I have made hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, poached eggs, omelets and some things I made up myself. If you get this, try this recipe - put three (unbroken) eggs in the omelet tray, add bacon bits, shredded cheese and sliced green peppers and cook with the poach setting. Awesome breakfast.

I will never boil another egg on the stove!!! If you want perfect eggs that peal every time without a fuss, this egg cooker is for you. I have chickens, so when I have surplus eggs I pickle them. I already had a Cuisinart 7-egg cooker and bought this 10-egg cooker to make my job easier. I love it. Now I can cook 17 eggs at one time. That is a real time saver when I am processing 10 dozen eggs. If you don'r need to cook 10 eggs at a time, the 7-egg cooker works just as well.

This egg cooker is easy to use and makes great eggs. The poached egg are perfect and omelets really surprised me. I thought I was going to end up with a flat omelet egg puck based on the omelet tray that is provided. Instead the cooker fluffs up the omelet to 2 or 3 times the height of the cooking tray. Being cooked by steam it does not get overcooked and brown like pan cooking can do. So far I am very happy with my Cuisinart.

Quick & easy to use, and I appreciated the quality. Nice looking stainless steel and a sharp egg piercer. I keep it stored in the box because it is easier to grasp & keep together. Don't waste your money on a less expensive egg cooker because it does not cook the eggs properly, and the egg piercer does not work.

This unit is easy to use, my boiled eggs come out perfect every time, and are simple to peel. I've tried every egg boiling method out there and this is the first time I have consistently gotten easy to peel eggs. I highly recommend it. Just remember always to unplug the unit when the beeper goes off for safety. Wipe the surface with a little white vinegar then you are all set for the next time you need to cook eggs.

We use it almost every day, and it works fine so far. Recently we discovered new uses for it. Really a must have .

I use it everyday for poached eggs and it it amazing for hard boiled eggs. This is my third one over several years.

This product is easy to use, and cooks the perfect boiled eggs. I usually cook 6 at a time. Using the bottom of the measuring cup, you punch a small hole in the round end of each egg. Place them in the holder, hole-side up. Fill the measuring cup to the level (markings on the side of the cup) which corresponds to the amount of steaming duration for egg doneness . Less water > less cooking (soft-boiled). Cooking time for hard-boiled was about 10 minutes. Perfect consistency. A gentile alarm alerts you when the cooking is done...and turns off the cooking device. Now, here's the caution: THE TOP GETS VERY HOT!! Lift off the top using the plastic handles at the bottom of the dome. Carefully lift the plastic tray holding the cooked eggs, and immerse them in a bowl with cool water. You don't need iced water. Next, I roll each egg on its side until the shell begins to crack. The shell is then easily removed from the egg with no loss of egg white. Wow! That was easy. You can store the cooked eggs in a covered container for later consumption. The consistency of the boiled eggs was perfect for my taste. Now, once the metal parts have cooled, I wipe the heating element (just like your slo-cooker) with a wet sponge. Buy one.
