Bought for hard boiling eggs but now I use for making omelettes more

After some limited online research, I noticed immediately that the Cuisinart CEC-10 egg steamer was in the top 3 of all online reviews ( mostly at #1 Best ). It turned out to be a great little egg cooker. Audible tone to tell you when the eggs are done, and if you like hard boiled eggs without all the hassle of boiling, this little cooker makes them Literally Perfect. STRONGLY recommend to use Distilled Water Only. Normal tap water / even bottled or filtered drinking water leaves a gross brown, white, burnt residue that does not clean up very well.

I liked the boiling and the poaching of eggs. I made an omelette in it and will definitely go back to make my omelets on the stove.

This is a great egg cooker. I bought another brand, but sent it back.It has a good cup marked well for poached and boiled. The poached eggs come out easily & done perfectly. The timer shuts it off (the other brand didn’t shut off). I’m happy with my purchase!

I love this little egg cooker! We eat s lot of hard boiled eggs, I like to make egg sales and deviled eggs too. It very east to use and the eggs come out perfectly every time.

My wife has a hard time cooking hard boiled eggs...basically to the point where the inside is a powder. I bought this for her and she loves it! Set it and forget it and just dump them in ice when the timer goes off...it's so easy. No guessing really. It does have the other features but we haven't used it for that yet. I like a soft boiled egg for my ramen and this does save me from getting a pot out and boiling water and then watching the eggs to make sure I see the boil and start a timer.

This works great. We use regular tap water. I think the instructions say use distilled but I think that depends on where you live and if it’s filtered or not.

Works great but the cover for the egg piercer is definitely going to get lost, tiny piece of plastic. Otherwise it’s a great cooker.

Bought for my step dad...he uses it every single day!

It took a little experimenting with water levels to get the poached eggs perfect, but once I did, voila! The only negative is that there is no automatic off switch. You have to turn it off manually, which isn't THAT big of a deal since you're standing there getting the eggs out... otherwise 5 stars!

Can hard, medium or soft cook up to 10 eggs at a time.Hard cooked take about 16-17 minutes. I recommend using distilled water as in the instructions.Make sure to rinse the eggss in the shell.No green ring around your yokes from overcooking.Hard or soft cooked, omelets, poached, this does it all.

I tried another for a while (cheaper). Gave it away..nothing better than this brand. Works perfectly.
