It leaks water onto the counter while cooking. (Not a lot) and the device to use to put a small hole in the type usually ends up cracking the egg. All in all it is a handy gadget to have.

compact easy to store, the egg poacher tray is a little deep, this means if you use the water fill line on the measuring cup for poaching your egg whites won't quite be done. the poacher will alarm will go off at around 8:30 minutes. After learning this I filled the cup just passed the fill line and eggs are perfect now. about 10:30 minutes

The Egg Cooker cooks hard boiled eggs extremely well. They peel easily and have no green rings around the yolk. I have not used the omelet or poaching feature very often. I find the measuring cup difficult to read, to determine which line corresponds to which water level, the line on the left or the one on the right? There is always a little water remaining after cooking is complete. Even though I have only used distilled water as recommended, the bottom of the heating pan is stained. I wish it had an automatic turn-off feature once the cooking is complete rather than just an audible sound. This one replaced an old Sunbeam Egg Cooker which had significant weight. This one is very light. Overall, I like it since it does what I wanted it to do.

hard to pirce an egg

We have a flock of 10 hens and this is a great tool to use all the eggs we have! I am an experienced home cook and could never get consistent hard boiled eggs. This egg cooker cooks them perfectly and they are SO EASY TO PEEL! I also use the omlette tray and the eggs are fuffy and delicious!

I love how simple this thing is to operate and it has taken the guesswork out of cooking all types of eggs for me. One thing, though, has to do with the piercing pin for making boiled eggs. It was not clear from the instructions that this is a small metal pin. When I looked at the bottom of the cup where it is located, I thought the plastic cover was the actual pin, but the point was flat and kept breaking my eggs. Only after I started processing a replacement did I go on line to try to find a picture of what the pin should look like. I didn’t find one, but I did find a professional review of the product that indicated that they too kept breaking their eggs before realizing that the plastic part pulls off exposing a vey sharp metal pin. Whew! I really liked this thing and didn’t want to have to return it! So take heed!

Works great! EASY to use.Only dissapointment is the steam coming out around the dome all over the counter.Second time, I put a cookie sheet under it to catch the drop.

Egg cooker instructions are clear and easy to understand. Eggs cook at desired. Have not had it long, so cannot tell if residue from evaporating water will effect the cooker.

Hard boiled 7 eggs, 3 were not done. Others needed some more time.For some reason it seemed to throw most of its water out on the counter.Also when puncturing the eggs, make sure you don't puncture it too much or it will end up spewing the egg out the top.Otherwise it's made hard boiled eggs a lot better.

This cooker works very well for both hard boiled and omelettes. Omelettes come out fluffy and hard boiled eggs are perfect. Only complaint is that the heating surface does tarnish after using. Instructions say to clean with vinegar. Also, as expected the stainless steel lid get very hot and caution is needed. I only gave fours stars since the heating surface is difficult to keep clean… and I did manage to burn myself once when reaching over the device to get something and accidentally touching the lid with my arm.

We had one of these for almost 10 years. The new one is just slightly smaller. It will not cook 10 jumbo eggs. (older version did). Does great with 9 eggs (top two sideways).

So it is appealing to have a stainless finish. Cleaning according to the manual not so easy. Did the vinegar and water but still left residue. First time trying an omelet, the setting did not fully cook the omelet with 3 eggs and had to experiment to finish cooking. Overall the product is a good choice.

We really enjoy this. It takes a couple of times of use to get the timing down tho. Depends how how runny or not you like your eggs. Once you find the timing that works for your likes it is a breeze to use.

This is my second Cuisinart egg cooker and I really like the product. I used my other one for years and I neverwas disappointed, the eggs were always perfectly cooked. The only reason for 4 stars is that when it arrived itwas missing two of the non skid feet. It still stays balanced and is usable but it would have been nice if the feetweren't missing. I do recommend this appliance however based on the reliability of the first one I owned.

This cooker works fine but no matter what type of water I use (distilled, city or well) there are always mineral deposits. Easily cleaned up with a little bit of vinegar.

It gets the job done, don't get me wrong. Just minor hang ups. When you fill the water, I'm almost positive that indicates when the water is gone, thus, the heating element keeps going causing a burning smell and browning on the eggs and bottom pan. Not great for long term use I assume. There are probably better egg cookers out there.

I gave this only 4 stars for the pin that helps to puncture a hole in the egg for cooking. It is not really sharp enough to keep from cracking the eggs when you try to pierce them. But this does a great job of hard boiling the eggs and they peel super fast and easy too.

The too doesn’t stay in completely while cooking and water spatters all over. Other than that it’s nice.

The egg puncher is hard to use, but I have a good one. Eggs are perfect. The advice on lneeding distilled water is important.
