I love how simple this thing is to operate and it has taken the guesswork out of cooking all types of eggs for me. One thing, though, has to do with the piercing pin for making boiled eggs. It was not clear from the instructions that this is a small metal pin. When I looked at the bottom of the cup where it is located, I thought the plastic cover was the actual pin, but the point was flat and kept breaking my eggs. Only after I started processing a replacement did I go on line to try to find a picture of what the pin should look like. I didn’t find one, but I did find a professional review of the product that indicated that they too kept breaking their eggs before realizing that the plastic part pulls off exposing a vey sharp metal pin. Whew! I really liked this thing and didn’t want to have to return it! So take heed!

I was skeptical but wanted to try something to make hard boiled eggs easier. Success! I experimented with one egg at a time to figure out the right amount of water to use. I live at a high altitude, so not sure if that matters, but more water worked better for me. Cleanup and storage is easy. Make sure you have distilled water on hand. Making the hole in the egg was easy with the tiny tool on the bottom of the measuring cup. Definitely would recommend!!!

We had bought an egg cooker earlier in the year. We like the convenience, but, too frequentlythe eggs were extremely hard to peel. A friend had bought this Cuisinart unit and didn't have that trouble. We bought the same Cuisinart egg cooker, and now we no longer have trouble peeling the hard boiled eggs. Excellent buy!

This egg cooker is amazing... I've used it several times since I rec'd it..It makes awesome omellets.

Works great! EASY to use.Only dissapointment is the steam coming out around the dome all over the counter.Second time, I put a cookie sheet under it to catch the drop.

So simple to use perfect eggs every time and very easy to peel no matter how fresh the eggs are

I live on hard-boiled eggs— but I’m also at the point in life where I’m looking to pare down my kitchen appliances instead of adding to them. So I thought long and hard before buying this, and am I ever glad I did! It’s very simple to use, cooks eggs beautifully, is easy to clean, and the water measurer is spot on. I think that this is a must-have for anybody who eats boiled eggs daily, as I do. It also poaches them beautifully, although you have to spray the container well for non-stick. One bonus to cooking eggs with steam heat is the ease of peeling. When steam hits an egg the cooked outside separates from the shell immediately, which makes peeling a cinch, even without plunging in ice water afterward, as many people do. Further, the yolk is centered beautifully in the egg —which is great if you devil eggs, as my family does weekly. This is just a fantastic device!

I have used this for poached as well as hard boiled eggs. Love it!!

Egg cooker instructions are clear and easy to understand. Eggs cook at desired. Have not had it long, so cannot tell if residue from evaporating water will effect the cooker.

If you follow the directions hard boiled eggs come out perfectly every time and they peal easily. It's foolproof.

Hard boiled 7 eggs, 3 were not done. Others needed some more time.For some reason it seemed to throw most of its water out on the counter.Also when puncturing the eggs, make sure you don't puncture it too much or it will end up spewing the egg out the top.Otherwise it's made hard boiled eggs a lot better.

The best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I’ve made scrambled eggs, poached, and hard boiled all done perfectly!

This cooker works very well for both hard boiled and omelettes. Omelettes come out fluffy and hard boiled eggs are perfect. Only complaint is that the heating surface does tarnish after using. Instructions say to clean with vinegar. Also, as expected the stainless steel lid get very hot and caution is needed. I only gave fours stars since the heating surface is difficult to keep clean… and I did manage to burn myself once when reaching over the device to get something and accidentally touching the lid with my arm.

My previous egg cooker rack warped and water would get all over the counter. This one has a deeper well and works great! So much easier for making hard boiled eggs.
