The directions tell you to prick a hole in the eggs before you cook them for a hard boil, but I never do. Every now and then i have an egg that cracks or explodes but rare. The unit is small in size so it is easy to store and it is easy to clean. I mainly use it to boil eggs so I rarely need to clean it as I can just rinse it or wipe it out. I've given three of these as gifts.

Poached eggs and omelettes

We have had two of these over 12 years and love the perfect hard boiled eggs. Gave one to our son for Christmas. This may seem like an unnecessary kitchen addition, but once you use it, you will never go back to the way you were preparing eggs before.

I’ve had this egg cooker one week and have used it every day (a grand total of 3 dozen eggs cooked for our family of 4’s lunch daily). And I have to say- I am only mad I didn’t buy one years ago. I love this cooker! So easy to use. If you follow the directions there are zero issues! I have medium boiled over a dozen eggs and not one has cracked or leaked. The omelets are light and fluffy and delicious. I finally poached eggs today and they are perfect consistency! I spray avocado oil if making the omelet or poached eggs and the slide right out. I would absolutely recommend this cooker!!

I purchased for an elderly friend. She uses it daily. It is easy to clean and stacks well to store.

Makes easy to peel hard boiled eggs.My complaint is like many others - cleaning.There is always an area that is burned, brown, and stuck on the bottom part.

No easy handle to remove lid once steamer goes off to prevent burns. Steamer bottom gets noticeably dirty much faster than another steamer.

Works great! I didn't think I needed one of these but I love it!

Simple to use. I like that it can hard boil 10 at a time. Much smaller than I expected so easy to store.

I have only one complaint, and it's not with the product, it's with the manual. The manual says when hard boiling eggs, to poke holes in the top of the eggs, but then it isn't specific about which end is the top , and which way to place them once the holes are poked. On my first attempt, I poked the small ends and positioned the holes upward. The eggs volcanoed out of control. When the beeper sounded and I opened the cooker, there were hard boiled egg guts everywhere. I was so frustrated. Luckily I have a friend who's been using this thing for years, and she told me to poke the larger end and place the eggs hole-side down. I tried that, and they turned out PERFECT! Not only were they cooked perfectly, but they were easy to peel! Very happy that I bought this little appliance. I haven't poached with it yet, but I did make myself a little omelet. Fluffy and tasty! Great little cooker.

I find that this is a good egg cooker. However, I felt it was rather slow. Recently, I was in Germany, and my friend had an egg cooker that was so fast. Therefore, I bought it after returning. What I can say is that it is not fast but it does cook the eggs well. You do need to follow the instructions that are provided. I felt the lid was cheaply made. But, then I felt it is how things are often made today. But because it is slow, I went back to boiling eggs the conventional way. However, you can make your eggs in many different ways. All in all, I can say it is a good product.

Easy to use and eggs cook exactly right every time. I’ve used it for hard and soft boiled. I did do poached eggs and they stuck so cleaning wasn’t fun. Next time I’ll try spraying tray first.
