This review is being written after more than six months of use 3 or 4 times a week. Does an admirable job with both hard boiled and soft boiled eggs ( although you must add a tablespoon or more water to the soft boiled measurement to achieve perfection ). I have not used it to poached eggs or make omelet and I never will. Recently the signal to notify you your eggs are done has stopped working. Not big deal, since when the device stops steaming you know the cooking is complete. Thus 1 star deduction.

Makes easy to peel hard boiled eggs.My complaint is like many others - cleaning.There is always an area that is burned, brown, and stuck on the bottom part.

No easy handle to remove lid once steamer goes off to prevent burns. Steamer bottom gets noticeably dirty much faster than another steamer.

I find that this is a good egg cooker. However, I felt it was rather slow. Recently, I was in Germany, and my friend had an egg cooker that was so fast. Therefore, I bought it after returning. What I can say is that it is not fast but it does cook the eggs well. You do need to follow the instructions that are provided. I felt the lid was cheaply made. But, then I felt it is how things are often made today. But because it is slow, I went back to boiling eggs the conventional way. However, you can make your eggs in many different ways. All in all, I can say it is a good product.

Bought for my husband who is always making eggs we can not peel. It works great and does a good number of eggs . Highly recommend

Works nice but occasionally some of the eggs will bubble out of the hole. Can be a bit messy to clean up.

It is inconsistent and how much water you put in to get the eggs cooked.

I purchased this particular egg cooker because I wanted to poach 4 eggs at once. Most if not all other brands only poach 3 eggs at a time. I have had egg cookers previously and know that you have to learn exactly how much water to use to get the egg cooked to particular specifications. I am still learning how much water to use. I think the only bad thing about this item is the lid needs some type of top handle on the lid because it is difficult to get the lid off without getting a steam burn. Well I am learning how to use it. I love poached eggs.

Worked great and easy to use!

Very practical and quick

Works great but the cover for the egg piercer is definitely going to get lost, tiny piece of plastic. Otherwise it’s a great cooker.

It took a little experimenting with water levels to get the poached eggs perfect, but once I did, voila! The only negative is that there is no automatic off switch. You have to turn it off manually, which isn't THAT big of a deal since you're standing there getting the eggs out... otherwise 5 stars!

After some experimenting, we found that it is not necessary to poke a hole in the top of each egg. Once they finish cooking, we immediately soak our eggs in ice water. The eggs peel easily and mostly clean.

The only issue I have is that the top (dome) does not lock (for storage). Dash egg cooker does a better job. Otherwise, it is a great product (so far).

Absolutely loved this contraption. Makes perfectly peeling eggs every time! So easy and quick! Only gave it 4 stars because it stains easily...the bottom does.

Easy house and eggs come out as expected

Easy to use, cooks eggs well. However, some eggs even when pierced seem to erupt while cooking and make a mess inside the cooker. Still trying to figure that out ... Lots of pieces to clean after use.

I'm always pleased with the Cuisinart brand, and this Egg Cooker is no exception. I use it often. I like that I can cook 10 eggs at a time. Most cookers are 7 or 8. I always use distilled water, and I clean the water reservoir after each use with a little white vinegar. The egg piercer on the bottom of the water cup works well. My only complaint is that I wish it would turn itself off after the cooking cycle completes. It has a very loud, shrill beep that won't shut off until I go over and turn it off.
